Abdur Rahman came under attack while returning to his home from the bazaar around 8:30pm on Monday.
Local first rushed him to Magura Sadar hospital from where he was then shifted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for better treatment.
Abdur Rahman later succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday morning.
Police said Abdur Rahman might be a victim of a conflict between two groups of AL in the area.
Officer-in-charge of Shalikha police station Rabiul Islam confirmed the incident and said case will be filed in this connection.
