Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman former President HM Ershad has said that his party is now factor in the politics.
Ershad, also Prime Minister's special envoy, said this at a function organized for relief distribution among flood victims at Nandi Bazaar area under Sherpur sadar upazila on Thursday (August 17).
He came down heavily on BNP for torturing him. “BNP tortured us a lot. Now their situation is deplorable,” he said.
The JP Chairman also said “There will be no other party to hold elections except JP.”
Ilias Uddin, secretary of district JP, presided over the function while Ruhul Amin Hawlader, secretary general of JP, Major (retd) Khaled, private secretary of Ershad, and Abdur Rouf, local Union Parishad (UP) were present, among others.
